Monkey’s Morning Out - Ages 18-32 months

This program is designed to develop physically, socially, creatively, and intellectually through hands-on activities, social interaction, creative movement, and stimulating experiences. Monkey’s Morning Out provides developmental gymnastics where children learn to follow directions and work together. Developing large motor and coordination skills, body control, spatial awareness, sequencing, and loco motor movements are emphasized. Story time, music and art activities are also enjoyed each morning.
My Pal & Me – Ages 12-36 months
$55.00/month-45 minutes/ week
This class is open to all children ages 12 months to 3 years of age and their parent. Very young children explore different ways to move their bodies. Motor skills development is the focus of this class, using age appropriate equipment. Our goals are improved listening skills; follow simple patterning, and basic directions, social interaction, movement through exploration and music-oriented exercise.
Pre-Kinder Monkeys – Ages 2-4
$55.00/month-45 minutes/ week
This class is designed for a younger group focusing on creative movement, following directions, and learning to be in a structured environment. Basic gymnastics skills are introduced into this class. Placement is based on individual maturity and skill level.
Kinder Monkeys – Ages 3-5
$62.00/month
Designed to teach young children basic beginner skills and fundamentals of movement, developing fine and gross motor skills as well as self-confidence. Introductory skills will be taught such as forward rolls, two feet jumps, walking on the low beams, and learning to hang and swing on the bars and the rings.
Artistic Gymnastics Gymnastics is a progressive sport and is taught from the most basic skills to intermediate level skills before progressing toward advanced level skills. LKN Gym Academy follows USAG Junior Olympic guidelines regarding level advancement. Developmental skills are taught on all Olympic events; vault, uneven bars, beam and floor. Athletes are learning levels one through four from the USAG Junior Olympic program in the beginner and intermediate level artistic classes. There are prerequisites for each level, which each athlete’s instructor will evaluate for advancement.

Starter Gym – Ages 5 & up
$62.00/month
Beginner gymnastics class for children ages 5 and up. A more structured class that will formally introduce “real” gymnastics skills and terms on all four Olympic events. Children will learn skills to master to be able to move up to Level 1 and begin learning routines.
Level 1 – Ages 5 and up

Children put skills together on each event and form routines from the USAG J.O. Compulsory Routine Program. Gymnasts learn cartwheels, bridges, and pullovers on bars to participate in the Level 1 class.
Level 2 – Ages 5 and up
$62.00/month
Level 2 gymnasts must have mastered Level 1 skills and routines to be in this class. Level 2 gymnasts learn back hip circles on bars, handstands on beam, pivot cartwheels on floor and begin handstand vaults.
Level 3 – Ages 5 and up
$62.00/month
Level 3 gymnasts must have mastered Levels 2 skills and routines to be in this class. Level 3 skills include forward roll onto waist high mat stack vaults, mill circles and squat on sole circle dismounts on bars, partial cross handstand on beam, handstand forward roll and back bend kick over on floor.
Super Stars–Advanced Artistic Gymnastics–Ages 6 &up
$111.00/month – 2 hour class
Advanced level classes offer the opportunity to learn Level 4 skills and routines from the USAG J.O. program. It is a prerequisite for the athlete to have achieved and mastered Levels 1- 3 to enroll in the Level 4 program. At this level, athletes may be considered for the competitive artistic team.
Artistic Gymnastics Team, Prep-Opt. & Sharpies
*Competitive team gymnastics at LKN Gym Academy is available to athletes by invitation of the Program Director only. This disciplined sport takes strength, dedication, and focus. Upper levels require year round commitment with the minimum of 4 hours of practice per week and at least 5 competitions per year. Team tuition is reflective of practice schedule; competitions incur meet and coaches fees additionally.
Tumbling Beginner/Intermediate/Advanced
All tumbling classes require extensive strength conditioning and focuses on floor skills only. All classes may use the tumble-trak, trampoline, vault, bars, and climbing rope for the advancement of these floor skills.

*Beginner tumbling teaches developmental skills on the spring floor, tumble trak, trampoline and into the foam pit with emphasis on tumbling. As with artistic gymnastics, tumbling is a progressive sport. Tumbling is performed on a variety of different mats and begins with a simple roll, progressing to flips and twists in the air. There are prerequisites for all intermediate and advanced tumbling classes.
*Intermediate tumblers must have a good round off and be working a standing back handspring.
*Advanced tumblers must have a good standing back handspring and be working on running tumbling, such as round off back handspring and round off back handspring back tuck.
Boys Strength & Conditioning
$62.00/month
Develops strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination. Many different types of equipment will be utilized such as rope, vault, and strength conditioning on bars. This class is great for boys playing football, soccer, baseball and more to help with overall physical fitness and
strength.
Cheer Tumble
$62.00/month
*Beginner Cheer Tumble will focus on handstands, round offs, and bridge kick over’s.
*Intermediate Cheer Tumble will focus on standing back handspring and round off back handspring.
*Advanced Cheer Tumble will focus on progressions after the round off back hand spring, such as multiple handsprings, back tucks and layouts – working toward full’s.
