Welcome to Lake Norman Gym Academy!

At LKN Gym Academy, we have a philosophy about teaching methods emphasizing:

• SAFETY
• TEACHING PROGRESSIVE SKILLS
• BUILDING SELF ESTEEM
• AND HAVING FUN!

Our goal is to:
· Teach all students who come into our program safe skills.
· Help each student achieve his/her potential through proper progressions.
· Build self esteem in each student through positive teaching and reinforcement.
· Make sure that each student enjoys learning. IT MUST BE FUN!!!
· All of our programs provide professional instruction for all levels and ages.

What to expect when you arrive for class:
· Please enter the gym and place all personal belongings neatly in a cubbie.
· Have a seat in the bleachers and wait for your class start time.
· Your instructor will call you by name to join them on the floor.
· Please make sure to have your child use the restroom before class.
· All girls must wear a one piece leotard with their hair pulled securely away from their face.
· All boys may wear tucked in t-shirt and shorts with no snaps or zippers.
· ABSOLUTELY NO JEANS, ZIPPERS, SNAPS…….
· DUE TO INSURANCE LIABILITY, ONLY REGISTERED STUDENTS AND STAFF ARE PERMITTED ON THE GYM FLOOR AND EQUIPMENT.
· No Gum, candy, food or drinks (other than water) are permitted in the gym. We are a WATER ONLY facility!
· Jewelry should not be worn during class.
· Please allow our instructors to instruct the class and your child; there is a progressive curriculum and skills for each level. Do NOT try to talk to your    child during class. It is important to keep their focus and attention on the class goals.
· Expect there to be lots of repetition.
· Please keep all siblings and/or guests seated in the bleachers; do not allow your children to stand or play with the black chain/stanchions around the floor.
· All students must be picked up from inside the facility; we will not allow them to wait for you outside or run out when they see your car.

General member information:
· Tuition is due on the 1st of each month; you may put your check in the ‘black box’ located @ the front office, or pay by cash or credit card. You can sign up for credit card Auto Pay to have your charges run automatically each month. A $15 late fee is automatically applied to all accounts which are not paid in full by the 10th of each month.
· LKNGA is going to paperless billing; please be sure we have your correct email address on file.
· We DO NOT offer make up classes; this is because of our strict student to teacher ratio and will be enforced. We appreciate when you call ahead to inform us if your child will miss class.
· For additiona linformation please refer to our Procedures, Policies and General Information pamphlet located @ the front office and also on our website or simply ask one of our staff members.
· In order for your child to benefit the most from our program we ask that you please view it as a year-long activity. It does take time for your child to gain all the benefits that our programs have to offer.
